Based on what you have learned from this chapter, describe a program for an individual who is not particularly self-motivated and who is also overweight. What if the client is feminine-typed? What if the client displays a number of type A behaviors?
2. Return to the opening scenario of this chapter. If you were Sarah, what kind of exercise program would you design for Jenny? Be more specific than the scenario indicated (i.e., more specific than exercising three days per week). What activity or activities would you recommend? How often, how hard, and for how long would you have Jenny do them?
3. Assuming that Sheldon’s constitutional theory of personality can be put into practice, what kinds of exercise might be most useful for the ectomorph? Endomorph? Mesomorph?
